NatWest Streamline stops private investigators taking credit cards
National Westminster Bank Credit Card Processing Operation, Streamline, has stated that they will not accept Applications from Private Investigation Agencies to become "Establishments". This denies this Industry Sector the ability to accept Credit Card payments from Clients - at least through Streamline.
As this is an Industry issue the World Association of Professional Investigators, WAPI, has requested that the Investigators' Sector Group makes appropriate submissions to Streamline to endeavour to persuade them to reconsider their position.
During the course of correspondence, Streamline has stated that they have had an ‘unacceptably high’ number of charge-back problems from PI Cardholder Clients, and this is the basis of their ‘commercial’ decision.
WAPI is co-ordinating a survey on the behalf of the Investigators' Sector on the use of credit card payment facilities and the frequency of charge-back problems from PI Cardholder Clients.
Visit the Investigators' Sector to read more and to participate in the survey.
This Survey is being advertised on all the eGroups, and hopefully the combined results will assist to "upgrade" the opinion of Streamline and others as to the role and status of our Sector.
