Galway’s up and coming private investigator wins ‘Outstanding Newcomer of the Year’ award

Private investigator Eddie Foster (above) has won a prestigious international award for being ‘Outstanding Newcomer of the Year’, for his achievement in starting up and developing one of the busiest and most successful private investigation agencies in the West of Ireland. His agency, Priority Investigations, is based in Galway. The award, sponsored by the World Association of Professional Investigators (WAPI), was presented at a ceremony in London, following the organisation’s 4th European Congress attended by 200 delegates from Europe, the USA, Africa and The Middle East. It was announced by media celebrity Alex Best (wife of retired soccer star George Best), in her role as Patron of the Belfast-based charity AIDS 2000.

An award for ‘Outstanding International Investigator of the Year’ went to Warren Levicoff from the agency International Detective Services in Philadelphia, USA, for the help and advice he has given other PIs working in difficult or inaccessible parts of the world.

WAPI’s ‘Outstanding UK Investigator of the Year’ award went to Gary Lincoln-Hope, from the Insight Investigations agency in Birmingham, for his work in helping government departments and police forces, including work on tackling benefit fraud.

A cheque for £1,500 in donations to AIDS 2,000 was presented to Alex Best at the end of the ceremony.
