12. Election of Officers - Current Officers offering themselves for re-election are:

    • Mr Ian Withers - Chairman
    • Mr John Edwards - Vice Chairman
    • Mr Stuart Withers - Treasurer

    In addition the following are standing:

    • Mr John Hope - Press Officer
    • Ms Beverly Flynn - Membership Secretary
    • Mr Gary Stapleton - Training Officer

    All are standing un-opposed.

13. Any Other Business.

Please note, anyone having any pertinent matters that they wish to raise, please send to one of the existing Council members or the General Secretary. Please do this within the next 2 days.

Notice of election

TO   All WAPI FULL MEMBERS

The next Annual General Meeting is to be held at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel, London on Saturday September 13, 2003 at 10am.

At this time the present Governing Council Members will be ‘standing down’ unless re-elected by qualified voting members of the Association.

Any Member in good standing will be able to attend the AGM and to cast their vote in person.

The General Secretary will be sending out Voting Forms to Qualified Members who may wish to submit Postal Votes, to be received by 12 noon on Thursday September 11, 2003.

Nominations

The following nominations have been received. As there is only one candidate for each post they will be elected unopposed at the AGM. Voting papers will not be issued.

The Governing Council

The present Governing Council has decided to increase the size of the Governing Council as from the Annual General Meeting to reflect the increased membership level, and to assist is dealing with the increased administrative workload associated with these voluntary positions.

The Governing Council will in future consist of:-

• Chairman
• Vice Chairman
• Treasurer
• PR & Media Secretary
• Membership Secretary
• Training & Qualifications Secretary

Democratic process

WAPI is a democratic Association existing for the benefit of it's Membership, and managed by members elected by the Membership.

Please participate in the process and the continuing success of the Association.
